20010/11 Programme | e-mail: info@nailsworthfilmclub.co.uk |
|
The Film Club was formed in October 2003 by a small group of enthusiasts and has just completed its fifth successful season. The aim of the Club is to bring to the Nailsworth area high quality film entertainment in a convenient location and a lively social setting We show a wide variety of films – mostly modern but occasionally past classics as well. We show English language and foreign (subtitled) films, art films and documentaries. We try to avoid blockbusters. We own all our own equipment and need no external financial support. We are members of the British Federation of Film Societies, which gives us support and the South West branch newsletter is available to members. Film Club members are encouraged to come forward with suggestions for our programmes and ideas about future developments. |
When
- Our
film season runs from September to April during which time we try to
show 10 films, at about three-weekly intervals. Films are usually shown
on Friday evenings.
Where
- In
the main hall at Nailsworth primary school in Forest Green, where there
is adequate parking. We have a bar, where members and guests can
socialise before and after the film shows. What time - Films normally start promptly at 8.00 pm, but members are encouraged to arrive early. Membership - To join costs £22.50 (or £40 for a couple sharing the same address) for the season. There is nothing more to pay – you just turn up and enjoy the film. Or you can join as an associate member and pay £5 at each film attended. For further information contact Chrissie Spencer on 01453 549661 For a list of the current committee: click here |
